- VectoBac G is an effective biological insecticide in granular form, used to control mosquito larvae in aquatic habitats such as ponds, irrigation canals and marshes.
- It is based on Bacillus thuringiensis strain AM65-52, a naturally occurring bacterium that kills larvae by destroying their digestive system without affecting non-target organisms.
- VectoBac G is an environmentally friendly solution that is safe to use in residential and agricultural areas.
Key Features:
- High efficacy: fast, effective control of mosquito larvae in both standing and flowing water.
- Environmentally safe: does not harm non-target organisms such as fish and birds, making it ideal for sensitive environments.
- Easy to use: can be applied with ground or aerial equipment for even distribution of the granules over target areas.
- Lower resistance risk: its biological mode of action reduces the likelihood of insects developing resistance.
Specifications:
- Active ingredient: Bacillus thuringiensis subsp. israelensis (strain AM65-52)
- Formulation: Granules (G)
- Weight: 18 kg
- Country of origin: United States
- Potency: 200 International Toxic Units (ITU) per mg
Directions for Use
- Broadcast on the water surface: spread VectoBac G directly over water where mosquito larvae are present.
- Application rate:
- Low larval density: 8 to 10 kg per 10,000 m² (one hectare).
- Polluted water or high larval density: 11.2 to 22.4 kg per 10,000 m².
- Application: granules can be spread by hand, with ground spreaders or by aircraft for complete coverage.
- Repeat: reapply if larvae persist to ensure complete control.
Do not use in drinking water: do not apply the granules to potable water systems.
