- Touchdown 360 SL by Syngenta is a non-selective systemic herbicide containing glyphosate as the diammonium salt at 360 g/L. It controls grassy and broadleaf weeds, both annual and perennial, after emergence. It features System 4 technology, a built-in adjuvant system that improves spray spreading on weed leaves and the uptake and movement of the active ingredient inside the plant. The leaves absorb the herbicide, which then moves to the growing points, roots and underground parts, helping control perennial weeds and limit regrowth. It is used in fruit orchards and date palm groves, on land prepared for planting, and along roadsides and non-crop areas according to the label. Symptoms appear gradually after treatment; speed of control depends on weed species, growth stage and weather conditions.
Key Features
- Syngenta System 4 technology: an adjuvant system designed to improve spray spreading on leaves and boost glyphosate uptake and movement inside the weeds.
- Controls annual and perennial weeds: targets grassy and broadleaf weeds, including perennial species that are hard to remove by surface clearing.
- Systemic action down to the roots: the active ingredient moves from green parts to growing points and underground parts, helping limit regrowth.
- Better spray efficiency: the formulation improves leaf coverage and reduces the negative effect of hard spray water on glyphosate performance.
- Multiple uses: suitable for directed sprays in fruit orchards and palm groves, land preparation, and weed control in non-crop areas as registered.
- Post-emergence control: works on actively growing weeds with enough green foliage to absorb the product; it has no residual soil activity to prevent new germination.

Directions for Use
- Fruit orchards and date palms: against annual and perennial grassy and broadleaf weeds at 18–22 ml per liter of water (1.8–2.2 L per 100 liters of water), directing the spray at weeds only and avoiding contact with the green parts of trees.
- Land for field crops and vegetables: 3–4 L per hectare for annual weeds and 4–6 L per hectare for perennial weeds, before planting or crop emergence, according to the label.
- Roadsides, airports, railways and irrigation canals: 6 L per hectare for general vegetation control, or 4–6 L per hectare for perennial weeds, according to the registered use.
- Mixing and spraying: partly fill the spray tank with water, add the measured amount of product and top up with water while stirring well. Spray green, actively growing weeds with uniform leaf coverage and avoid drift onto crops and desirable plants.
- Note: per-hectare rates are the amount of product per area and cannot be converted to ml per liter without knowing the spray volume used.
Pre-Harvest Interval and Re-entry
- Pre-harvest interval: 30 days, according to the Saudi label table.
- Re-entry interval: 12 hours after spraying, except when necessary with the specified protective equipment.
- Grazing interval: 28 days after treatment in treated areas.
Precautions
- The product is non-selective and can damage or kill crops and desirable plants if it touches their green parts.
- In orchards and palm groves, direct the spray at weeds only and protect leaves, green branches and non-woody trunks.
- Do not spray in strong wind or conditions that may cause drift onto neighboring plants.
- Do not use on lawns or on plants you want to keep.
- It does not control ungerminated weed seeds and gives no residual protection against new emergence.
- Irrigation canals must be free of water when treating weeds in them, according to the label.
- Wear gloves, protective clothing and eye protection when mixing and applying.
- Do not contaminate water sources or drains with the product or sprayer rinse water.
- Observe the pre-harvest, re-entry and grazing intervals on the pack.
- Store in the original tightly closed container away from children, food and feed.
Orkida Tip
- To get the most from System 4 technology, spray weeds while they are actively growing with enough green leaves to absorb the product, and do not mow or plough right after treatment so the active ingredient has time to reach the roots and underground parts. In orchards and palm groves, use directed spraying and keep spray away from the green parts of trees.
