Piocal is a liquid fertilizer containing 15% nitrogen and 19% calcium oxide (CaO) in the form of fast-dissolving, readily absorbed calcium nitrate. It is used to improve fruit set and enhance fruit firmness and quality in a wide range of crops. It supports cell-wall formation, strengthens fruit tissues and reduces physiological disorders linked to calcium deficiency, such as blossom-end rot in tomato and pepper and bitter pit in apple. Piocal is absorbed through both roots and leaves, giving flexibility to apply it through irrigation systems or as a foliar spray, especially during critical fruit-formation stages.
Key Features:
- 15% nitrate nitrogen to support steady plant growth.
- 19% calcium oxide to improve fruit firmness and strengthen tissues.
- Nutrients supplied as easily and quickly absorbed calcium nitrate.
- Helps reduce calcium-deficiency symptoms and improves crop quality.
- Absorbed through roots and leaves; suitable for all irrigation and spraying systems.
- Low chloride and sodium levels, reducing the risk of salt stress.

- General foliar spray: 1 ml per liter of water.
- For foliar spraying, take the spray volume per hectare into account to ensure accurate dosing.
- Repeat according to the fertilization program, soil condition and crop stage.
Compatibility and Precautions:
- Compatible with most fertilizers.
- Do not mix with products containing phosphates or sulfates, to avoid precipitation.
- A jar (compatibility) test is recommended before use.
- Avoid spraying at very high temperatures to prevent plant stress.
- Follow the recommended rates.
Storage:
- Keep in the original, tightly closed container.
- Store in a dry, well-ventilated place away from direct sunlight.
- Shake well before use.
- Keep out of reach of children.
Orkida Tip:
Piocal gives the best results when you start before calcium-deficiency symptoms appear and continue regularly through fruit formation, because deficiency damage cannot be reversed once it occurs, while regular preventive use keeps fruit firm and high-quality all season.
