- The active ingredient, emamectin benzoate, is an advanced generation derivative, a unique active ingredient not found in other cockroach baits.
- Optgard Gel has a dual mode of action by affecting the nervous system and by infecting the insect, causing paralysis of the cockroaches and then death, as it targets the GABA receptor gates in the nervous system.

Features of Optiguard Gel
- A new formula for indoor and outdoor use, attractive and friendly to all cockroach breeds that are repelled by other baits, and no cases of resistance have been recorded against it.
- It has the domino effect, or successive killing, by feeding the cockroaches in the hiding place on the droppings of treated cockroaches or dead treated cockroaches, which leads to the death of all cockroaches in the colony, including the nymphs that do not come out to feed.
- It is highly effective in eliminating cockroaches, including eggs and nymphs that do not emerge to feed, thanks to its content of cockroach droppings.
- Optiguard gel is available in a small, easy-to-use syringe that helps you add gel drops with precision.
- Optiguard Gel is an easy-to-use 0.1% formulation packaged in a 30g syringe.

How to use OptiGuard cockroach gel:
- The gel is used to combat cockroaches by placing small dots of it in the places where cockroaches appear.
- It is recommended to add 1 to 3 drops of Optguard gel per square meter, increasing the number of drops depending on the severity of the infestation and the type of cockroach being targeted. Each drop weighs approximately 0.5 grams.
Target pests:
- Cockroaches include German, American, Australian, Oriental, Brown, Smoked Brown and Brown cockroaches.
How does the active ingredient in Optigard® gel work?
- Emamectin benzoate stimulates the release of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) in the insect, an inhibitory neurotransmitter, leading to paralysis and death.
- Cockroaches are attracted to the highly palatable bait, which, upon consumption, delivers an insecticidal dose of emamectin benzoate. Cockroaches that feed on the bait will return to their nests, where the active ingredient may be transferred to other cockroaches, including nymphs that are not actively foraging. This results in a significantly larger population of cockroaches being controlled than those originally feeding on the bait.
