- Minol 950 EC is a high-purity summer mineral oil containing 95% mineral oil, used to control scale insects, spider mites and aphids on citrus, date palms, olives, fruit trees and ornamental plants. It works by contact, forming an oily film that covers the insect's body and eggs and blocks respiration, killing them and reducing infestation levels. It is one of the key products in integrated pest management (IPM) programmes for scale insects, as it reaches pests hidden in bark cracks and under waxy covers that are hard to control with conventional insecticides. It is easy to use and helps reduce pest numbers at early stages, before the infestation develops and spreads through the farm.
