  • Coragen 20 SC is a suspension concentrate (SC) insecticide containing the active ingredient chlorantraniliprole at 20% (200 g/L), specialised in controlling Lepidopteran larvae (caterpillars), which are among the most damaging pests of vegetable and fruit crops. It acts mainly through ingestion (stomach action) with a supporting contact effect. It targets the ryanodine receptors in the insect's muscles, causing an uncontrolled release of calcium inside the muscle cells, so the larva stops feeding within minutes, then becomes progressively paralysed and dies within 24–60 hours. It is highly effective when applied to the early larval instars before the larvae bore into the fruit, and helps reduce direct damage and break the pest's life cycle in the field when used within integrated pest management (IPM) programmes.

Key Features

  • Modern mode of action from IRAC Group 28, which reduces the risk of resistance when used correctly.
  • Rapid feeding stop within minutes, protecting fruit and leaves from further damage.
  • Strong efficacy against Tuta absoluta, fall armyworm, cotton leafworm, American bollworm and leaf miners.
  • Partial ovicidal effect when applied early, reducing egg hatch in some species.
  • Good rainfastness and persistence on leaves, with residual activity that may reach 14–21 days depending on weather conditions and canopy density.
  • Relatively selective, with less impact on natural enemies than broad-spectrum insecticides when recommendations are followed.

  • Do not use more than 2–3 consecutive applications from the same resistance group in one season.
  • Rotate with products from different groups to prevent resistance.
  • In late or severe infestations, it may need to be part of an integrated programme rather than used alone.
  • Following the rates and pre-harvest intervals is essential for crop safety and marketable quality.
