- Bonoil 965 EC is a high-purity paraffinic mineral oil containing 96.5% paraffin oil. It acts as a non-systemic insecticide and acaricide with a physical mode of action: it forms an oil film that covers the insect's body and blocks its breathing pores (spiracles), causing suffocation and death. It also helps dissolve the waxy layer that protects some pests, increasing control efficiency. It is highly effective against scale insects, mites and aphids, especially in their sedentary stages, and helps reduce egg hatching when coverage is good. It is an effective option in integrated pest management programs, especially in fruit trees, when applied with full coverage at the right time.
